The Ache of Doing Life Alone
Have you ever felt like you’re navigating life alone, even though you believe in God?
Have you ever thought “What does it mean to walk by faith?”
You want to feel connected to Him.
You want Him to be a part of your life.
Yet it still feels like you’re juggling responsibilities, making decisions, and facing your struggles on your own.
Maybe you’ve tried reading the Bible more, praying more, going to church more, but no matter what you do, there’s still a gap between what you believe and what you experience.
You know Jesus is supposed to be your connection to God, but if you’re honest, you’re not sure what that’s supposed to look like in real life.
I get it.
For years, I believed in Jesus, but I didn’t know how to actually walk with Him. I knew He was there, I just didn’t know how to bring Him into my everyday life.
Why Walking With Jesus is the Key to Navigating Your Second Chapter
When you enter a new season of life—whether it’s stepping into midlife, rediscovering yourself after years of caregiving, or pursuing long-buried dreams—it can feel overwhelming.
There are big decisions to make. Uncertainty about what’s next. Fears that you’re not doing it right.
But here’s the truth: you were never meant to navigate this next chapter alone.
Walking with Jesus isn’t just about faith—it’s about having a steady, unshakable foundation as you step forward. It’s about knowing you don’t have to have all the answers because you’re walking with the One who does.
If you’ve been feeling lost, unsure, or hesitant to embrace this next season, the answer isn’t striving harder—it’s walking closer with Jesus.
When Faith Feels Like a Checklist
When I first met Jesus, I didn’t have anyone to mentor me.
I tried to do what I thought God wanted—reading my Bible, praying, going to church—but my faith felt more like a to-do list than a relationship.
I felt close to God when I was keeping up with my spiritual habits, but when life got busy and I fell off track, God felt distant.
I thought He was disappointed in me. I thought I had to work to feel close to Him again.
What I didn’t realize was that Jesus wasn’t asking for my performance—He was inviting me into relationship. Walking with Him wasn’t about what I did for Him. It was about being with Him in the everyday moments of life.
What It Actually Means to Walk with Jesus
Walking with Jesus is About Relationship, Not Ritual
We don’t “earn” closeness with God—it’s already given to us through Jesus. Instead of striving to feel close to Him, we get to live from the truth that He’s already near.
Faith Isn’t a Separate Part of Life—It’s the Golden Thread
Jesus isn’t just for church services or morning devotionals. Faith is meant to be woven into every moment of our day—whether we’re making coffee, driving to work, or folding laundry. When we stop seeing faith as something we schedule to something that sustains us, everything changes.
Seeking First His Kingdom in Everyday Life (Matthew 6:33)
Seeking God first doesn’t mean spending hours in prayer or giving up your daily responsibilities—it means aligning your heart with Him in whatever you do. It’s inviting Him into decisions, trusting Him in challenges, and remembering that He is always with you.
Three Simple Ways to Walk with Jesus Daily
1. Talk to Him Throughout the Day
Prayer doesn’t have to be formal—it can be an ongoing conversation. Talk to Jesus like you would a trusted friend, in the quiet moments and in the chaos.
2. Look for His Presence in Everyday Moments
God is always speaking—we just need to learn to notice. Pay attention to those nudges, unexpected moments of peace, or scriptures that come to mind.
3. Trust That He’s Always With You (Even When You Mess Up)
You don’t have to “start over” every time you feel distant—Jesus never left. Release the guilt and rest in the fact that you are already loved and accepted.
An Invitation to Walk With Him
Walking with Jesus isn’t about getting it perfect—it’s about staying close to the One who is leading you forward.
He wants to be with you in your real life—the messy, ordinary, in-between moments.
And when you’re stepping into a new season, walking with Jesus is what will give you the confidence, wisdom, and peace to navigate what’s ahead.
You don’t have to wait until you feel spiritually strong.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You just have to say yes to walking with Him—one step at a time. 💛
With love and belief in you,
